Camps are Kicking Off for the Summer
Summer Camps are Underway! Proven is the Theme, Jesus is the Game
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) summer camps are back across Ohio, offering athletes and coaches a transformative experience rooted in faith and sport. This year's theme, Proven, invites participants to shift from striving to prove their worth to resting in their identity in Christ.
According to fca.org, "What are you trying to prove? Stop striving to prove your worth. God has proven everything through Jesus." The Proven theme emphasizes that our value isn't earned through wins, stats, or approval—it's received through Christ's finished work. John 15:8 reminds us: “My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be my disciples.” Camps help athletes live confidently in this truth.
FCA's origins trace to summer camps. Since 1954, these camps have challenged coaches and athletes at all levels to use sports' platform for the Gospel. They combine "inspiration and perspiration" with athletic training, spiritual growth, and leadership development—helping participants build skills while deepening their relationship with Jesus.
Central Ohio FCA camps, detailed at centralohiofca.org/camps, include Sports Camps (specific sports with intense training), Power/Youth Camps (ages 8-14, multi-sport day camps), Grace in the City Clinics, and Partnership Camps. Each offers fun, outstanding instruction, speakers, friendships, and life change. Past camps have impacted hundreds, with many first-time decisions for Christ.
