A New Season for Coaches: Introducing the Monthly Coaches' Impact Call
Central Ohio FCA is revitalizing its Coaches' Ministry — and it starts with a kickoff call you won't want to miss.
Billy Graham once said, "A coach will impact more young people in a year than the average person does in a lifetime." At Central Ohio FCA, we've always believed that's true. Coaches don't just teach the game — they shape character, model perseverance, and leave fingerprints on lives that last far beyond the final whistle.
That's why we're investing fully in the people who do that work. Beginning next month, Central Ohio FCA is revitalizing and expanding our Coaches' Ministry, and at the heart of it is something new: a monthly Coaches' Impact Call built to encourage, equip, and pour into coaches across every sport and every level.
Why Now
We've maintained a Coaches' Ministry in Central Ohio for years, but in recent seasons other initiatives took priority. We're changing that and realigning our resources. Our staff and advisory board have made a clear decision to put our time and effort behind the people on the front lines who shape our athletes.
We're also blessed to have the right leaders driving it. Daryl Bell and Jeff Brenning — two coaches on our staff who founded the original Coaches' Ministry and developed its curriculum — are leading the charge as we relaunch and build on that foundation.
Mark Your Calendar: the July 19th Kickoff Call
Our revitalized ministry launches with a special virtual Kickoff Call:
📅 Sunday, July 19th | 7:00–8:00 PM | Online
Our first guest speaker is TreVeyon Henderson, who will join us live from the New England Patriots' training camp to share his story and speak directly to coaches.
Then, we will keep it going and meet on the 4th Sunday of every month. Every call follows the same encouraging, hour-long rhythm:
- 7:00 PM — Welcome & Prayer
- 7:05–7:30 PM — 360 Coaching Topic
- 7:30–8:00 PM — Guest Speaker with live Q&A
Coaches' Impact Call Program
When you enroll in the program, you'll receive an FCA Coaches' Bible and the 360 Curriculum — practical tools to help you grow personally and lead well. There is zero cost for coaches to participate. Coaches from any sport and any level — youth leagues to professional levels — are warmly invited to attend.
The Coaches' Ministry Program
The Coaches' Impact Call is the front door to a ministry built around three parts:
- Monthly Online Coaches' Impact Call — encouragement, coaching topics, and guest speakers.
- Coaches' Huddles — local gatherings we'll help you form right in your own area with enough interest and volunteer leaders.
- Coaches' Time Out Retreat — an optional annual getaway you can attend with your spouse or partner. There's still time to register for this year's retreat, held in Westerville.

Thank you for saying yes to the noble profession of coaching. We know firsthand how demanding the job is — and we want you to know we're here, ready to pour into you, to pray for you, and to equip you with the tools and knowledge to take your coaching to its highest level.
